Applicants · Members
I would like to know if YECCO is a union club.
YECCO encourages friendship making and relationship strengthening between members.
In this respect, YECCO actively promotes Membership Training camp, Alumni programs, travels and so on.
However, the official status of YECCO is ‘Non-Profit Organization’.
Moreover, YECCO is irrelevant to any kind of Politics, Religions, or Ideologies.
I would like to inquire about the schedule for new member recruitment.
YECCO conducts its regular recruitment once a year.
The recruitment period usually takes place between February and March. Once the schedule is finalized, announcements will be posted on our official website as well as various university platforms such as Everytime and Campus Pick.
For 2025, the new member recruitment period is scheduled from Monday, February 10th to Friday, February 28th.
I would like to learn if active participation is required to maintain membership status.
Membership status in YECCO, for those who have passed the interpretation exam and have not resigned or been expelled, is maintained according to the following criteria:
A. Active Members : The standard membership type requiring payment of dues and mandatory participation in all regular activities.
B. Graduate Members (ECCO) : Eligible after more than two years of active membership; exempt from dues and may participate in activities on a voluntary basis.
C. Inactive Members : Eligible to apply for inactive status after completing the interpretation exam at Gyeongbokgung Palace in the first half of the year; automatic withdrawal occurs if inactivity continues for more than three years.
I would like to clarify the difference between 'General Assembly' and Monthly Meeting'.
All YECCO members are required to attend every Monthly Meeting.
Monthly Meeting includes monthly reports from each team, discussions on key agenda items, Gyeongbokgung Interpretation Tip Classes, member networking sessions, and social gatherings.
Among the Monthly Meetings, those held in March and November, which mark the beginning and end of the annual activities, as well as other meetings conducted alongside important events or addressing issues involving all members, are designated as 'General Assembly'.
The agenda items discussed at the General Assemblies are more significant and carry greater importance compared to other Monthly Meetings. Therefore, these meetings are distinguished and conducted separately to reflect their importance.
Individuals
I would like to ask whether there is a specific period for reserving YECCO Histour.
Reservations must be completed at least 4 days prior to your desired tour date in order to assign a guide.
(For tours on Saturdays, reservations must be finalized by Tuesday.)
I would like to find out the usual timeframe for confirmation of the reservation.
After confirming your interpretation reservation request, we will notify you of the confirmation status via contact at least 24 hours before the scheduled tour date.
I would like to check the deadline for canceling a reservation.
Cancellations are allowed up to 24 hours before the start of the tour.
Please note that cancellations requested within 24 hours of the scheduled tour will not be eligible for a deposit refund.
